Partnership with Bell 2018
As a member of the WWF Seafood Group, Bell made the commitment to refrain from offering species threatened with extinction, to gradually discontinue fish from unsustainable origins, and to continuously expand the proportion of recommended labels.

Total: The proportion of sustainable sources relative to the entire seafood range
Bell has set the target of sourcing 100% of the overall seafood range from sustainable sources (very recommended, recommended, acceptable according to the WWF) by 2019. Measured is the percentage of turnover of the total seafood assortment. The scope of application is Bell Seafood.
In 2018, 99% of the entire seafood assortment came from sustainable sources.
Comment: The development of new business areas led to this decline.
Total: Proportion of recommended / highly recommended labels of turnover of the entire seafood assortment
Bell has set the target of having 62% of the overall seafood assortment certified with recommended/very recommended labels according to the WWF by 2019. Measured is the percentage of turnover of the total seafood assortment. The following labels are considered recommended/very recommended: MSC, ASC, and Bio. The scope of application is Bell Seafood.
In 2018, 44% of the overall seafood assortment was certified with recommended/very recommended labels according to WWF.
Comment: Delays in the ASC certification of farmed salmon resulted in Bell falling short of this target.
Wild catch: MSC proportion relative to turnover realised with wild-caught fish
Bell has set the target of having 60% of the wild catch certified with the MSC label by 2019. Measured is the percentage of turnover of the wild catch assortment. The scope of application is Bell Seafood.
In 2018, 64% of the wild catch range was MSC certified.
Farmed fish: Proportion of recommended/very recommended labels relative to the turnover of the range of farmed fish products
Bell has set the target of having 55% of the farmed fish range certified with recommended/very recommended labels according to WWF by 2019. Measured is the percentage of turnover of the farmed-fish assortment. The following labels are considered recommended/very recommended: ASC and Bio. The scope of application is Bell Seafood.
In 2018, 35% of the farmed assortment was certified with recommended/very recommended labels according to WWF.
